Union Square

A day in Union Square<3 I kind of miss this place now that I don't live around here anymore... I miss having Whole Foods five minutes from my house, all the hole-in-the-wall restaurants, and the random markets that  came to life on the weekends.

Swan Lake

9.16.11

It was a magical night at the David H. Koch Theater. The lights, mood, and the ballerinas were like a segment of a dream I had when I was five. It was such a beautiful production and actually wished that Natalie Portman was the main ballerina...oh well.... maybe in my dreams...

Norma Kamali S/S 12

The Norma Kamali show last Wednesday was amazing! The designer developed a fun 3D film to showcase her collection. The film was perfect for her new clothes because it was really all about movement and dancing (something that's more difficult to portray in a 5 minute runway show.) It was so inspiring to see a designer really embrace technology and incorporate it into her collection. I feel like this is the beginning to a lot more technology in fashion in the near future. Also  another plus about her 3D show, the 3D cat-eye glasses we got to keep afterward.  ;)

until next time

Lincoln Center II

9.14.11

Another amazing day at Lincoln Center!
The fashionistas have definitely stepped it up and showed up in their best.
I loved the simple silhouettes and the amazing prints mixed together.
Man I love New York Fashion Week <3

and some celebrity sightings!
Bill Cunningham

Nina Garcia

God must really love me because I got to see the one and only, Rachel Zoe, walking literally right next me <3<3<3 She was gorgeous and so skinny in real life, even after having her baby Skylar, now 6 months old. But she was definitely glowing and looked effortlessly chic, while walking to the Lincoln Center, hand in hand with her hubbie, Rodger. OMG I wanna be her.....

alice + olivia

monday 9.12.11

The Alice + Olivia show last Monday was amazinggggg. I actually had no idea that I was going to be there that day (hence the unprepared camera...all pics taken by IPad2...because that was the only thing I had), but the place I intern at had an extra ticket and they let me go!! Thank you, thank you, thank youuuuuuu!~~~
Whereas my coworker left after browsing for maybe 10 minutes, I literally stayed there for about a good hour....haha. The clothes were amazing, the mini cupcakes and Coffee Bean slushes were delectable, and the party scene including LeAnn Rimes, Jordan Sparks, and Sophia Bush was also a sight to see.
I picked some of my favorites from the Alice + Olivia's Spring/ Summer 2012 collection, which was 70's inspired with a mixture  of hipster and Studio 54. I was gushing over all the sequins and tulle that Stacy Bendet, the current designer of Alice + Olivia, utilized in her collection. If only I can take all this back to my closet :)

Lincoln Center

dare to standout.

An afternoon at the Lincoln Center photographing various fashionistas coming to see all the shows! Everyone that was there was dressed to impress, but only a few stood out. Some apparent trends are: color blocking, tribal patterns, and a whole lotta color.
